R.S.V.P. to the most riotous wedding of the year . . .
Lucy Jorik is the daughter of a former president of the United States.
Meg Koranda is the offspring of legends.
One of them is about to marry Mr. Irresistible—Ted Beaudine—the favorite son of Wynette, Texas. The other is not happy about it and is determined to save her friend from a mess of heartache.
But even though Meg knows that breaking up her best friend's wedding is the right thing to do, no one else seems to agree. Faster than Lucy can say "I don't," Meg becomes the most hated woman in town—a town she's stuck in with a dead car, an empty wallet, and a very angry bridegroom. Broke, stranded, and without her famous parents at her back, Meg is sure she can survive on her own wits. What's the worst that can happen? Lose her heart to the one and only Mr. Irresistible? Not likely. Not likely at all.

Susan Elizabeth Phillips is one my favorite Authors, I 'm so glad I discovered her thanks to the reviews of my favorite bloggRomance Rookie. The narrator was perfect, she had big shoes to fill and I can honestly say, " she did a terrific job."
I enjoyed every minute of this book, I couldn't stop listening.

I can't tell you how mad I was with the length of time that we had to wait for a new SEP book. I was completely filled with righteous indignation and was all prepared to scream long and loud if the book was not worth the wait or if a sub-standard narrator had been selected...but oh was that NOT a problem.
I loved this book...and here comes a shocker...I LOVED THE NARRATOR!! I didn't think an SEP audio experience would ever be the same after Anna and I still miss her narrations dearly, but Shannon Cochran who holds her own. And is a reader more than capable of allowing the listener to experience the tale. I hope she is the narrator for the next book. I will definitely be looking for more of her work.
Typically, SEP usually gives us the primary couple's story and then there is a secondary couple...that was missing from this book...and I'm glad...because I wanna know what Lucy was up to...and I want ALL of the details.
I did love the individual characters in the town...but even more so that the town itself took on the role of one of the main characters in the book and not just a setting. There were several characters from previous SEP books that we were able to catch up with...the only one that came off a little different to me was Kenny; I'm not certain what happen there he was a little too "grown up" for me.
There is not much I can say about this book that I didn't like...but SEP be warned...don't make us wait this long again! :)

I find it amazing how J R Ward can continually put out an outstanding novel even after EIGHT! Usually the storyline begins to thin and repeat and suffer after a few books but LOVER MINE is outstanding. Great characters as always, fabulous story line and I enjoy some tears and alternate laugh out loud moments!
Jim Frangione is PERFECTION with his narration! I couldn't imaging a better choice! He is perfect in all ways as he brings me to the world of the Black Dagger Brotherhood! If Jim ever stopped narrating I would read it myself not listen to the audio so...keep it going Jim! THANKS!

Charlaine Harris delivers the 10th novel in her number-one New York Times best-selling Sookie Stackhouse series, which has been adapted into the smash hit television program True Blood.
Finally settled with Viking vampire Eric, Sookie finds normalcy just as chaos surrounds her. Sookie’s former lover Bill, her boss Sam, and even Eric are struggling with family problems. Then things get really interesting when the werewolves tell Sookie an ominous presence is lurking.

                        ============================================================
I love every book in this series but this book was missing something, maybe it just felt like more of the same, but about the narrator Johanna Parker is just terrific as Sookie and she makes all the characters come to life.

I have really enjoyed the Sookie series, loved it really, but I'm thinking it's time to bring the Southern Vampire to a close. If you've read the Harper Connolly and/or Aurora Teagarden mysteries, you'll know that Harris is fully capable of bringing a series to a satisfying conclusion. This episode was entertaining, Sookie's a hoot as always, but the tale doesn't have any new twists or turns, just more of the same conflicts any girl dating a man in the throes of corporate upheaval might expect. I'm waiting for her to fall for Sam and live happily ever after.

I love this series, don't get me wrong, but this book was weak and lacking. The storyline was barely advanced from the last book. The remaining mysteries are not enough to make me excited for the next one. The characters are little changed, or advanced, from the last book, and the secondary characters were used effectually.
I guess I was just looking forward to this book so much, that I was bound to be disappointed. But, I know that this book could have been better. As always, the narrated was superb. I just wish that the book was as good as the rest of the series.

Jul 31, 2008 This is my favorite fantasy/romance series. I have read all of Sherrilyn Kenyon's "Hunter" books and I was thrilled to find some of the earlier books (that made me a devoted fan of hers) on Audio. If you like this genre don't hesitate. You won't be sorry. Pretty soon you will be collecting all of the "Hunter" books you can find.

I was skeptical at first. Listened to the first 2 hours and was ready to put it up but I kept with it and glad I did. Once you get past the first couple of hours of them just wanting to have each other, the story starts to unfold and reels you in.
I listened to the 2nd book, same thing, get past the first 2 hours. I only wish Audible carried the entire series of books, not just about 8 out of 13.
I do LOVE the narrator. She does an excellent job with the other character voices.

Vin diPietro long ago sold his soul to his business, and he's good with that - until fate intervenes in the form of a tough-talking Harley-riding, self-professed savior. Let me start by saying " I love J.R.Ward ", but I had to make an effort to finish this book, I don't know if it was the narrator, or just the book, but I did finished it, and I'm going to listen to the next one, some times you just have to give a series a chance, and I'm going to do it just for the love I have for the BDB books.

I was hesitant to purchase this book. I love the Black Dagger Brotherhood books and I was afraid that this one would leave me disappointed. The storyline seemed too different for me to maintain interest as strongly as I do for the BDB books. I was very wrong! I had a very difficult time finding stopping points and kept finding reasons to keep listening "just a little longer...". It also nicely correlates to the BDB books and gives you glimpses of characters familiar if you have read that series. Overall, I'm very glad that its in my library!

I am very glad I read "Covet" before it came to Audible. As always, J. R. Ward delivers an action-packed sexy story with an interesting premise and intriguing characters. I was thrilled that two of the brothers made appearances and I liked getting to know characters who only had a minor role in the BDB books.
I was extremely disappointed when I discovered that Jim Frangione wasn't the narrator. Eric Dove's rather unemotional narration really detracted from the story. He gave Vin diPietro a strange accent that made me squirm with discomfort every time Vin talked. Because of this, it took me well over a month to listen to the entire book.
If you are already a J. R. Ward fan, the lack-luster narration probably won't scare you away, but if this is the first audio book you've experienced by J. R. Ward, I highly recommend that you read her Black Dagger Brotherhood series before reading Covet.

I have turned into a huge fan of Patricia Briggs.
Her stories are always fast paced and very interesting.
In "Silver Borne" we get a little more romance, than in the previous books. Which only makes the story, that much better.
All the "Mercy" books are narrated by, Lorelei King. She does a great job of adding depth to the story. Her narration makes "Mercy" come alive.
I would recommend this book.

I finished listening to Moon Called (the 1st book in this series) and immediately bought the whole series in print and read them all in a week. I then bought the audio of the 5th book, Silver Borne, because i loved it so much. To me the 1st and 5th were the best, but the whole series is extremely well done. Wasnt crazy about the voice of the male lead in Moon Called but for the record by Silver Borne this narrator was in her stride and every voice was perfectly suited to the characters. Other great thing about these as audio is that they are not that long but long enough. LOVED THIS BOOK. Nice steamy ending too though this one is the only one in the series that were really focused on romance. FYI- the rumor is there will be a 6th book in 2011. I checked!

Marlie Keen was trying to lead a quiet, ordinary life. She thought the knowing - the clairvoyance that allowed her to witness crimes as they happened - had been destroyed in the nightmare of her past. Then one night it returned with a vengeance, and she desperately needed to find someone to make it stop.Detective Dane Hollister of the Orlando police department had never met anyone like Marlie. He had doubts about her clairvoyance, but there was no doubt how much he desired her. Her soft, sweet scent set his blood afire, and he wanted to wrap her in his arms and chase the sadness from her eyes. To Marlie, Dane was all heat and hard muscle, and he made her body come alive as it never had before. But not even she could foresee where their passion would lead: a hungry quest for the elusive, dreamy ecstasies of love...and a dangerous journey into the twisted mind of a madman who would threaten their happiness and their lives.

I have to admit that I often steer clear of some women authors because they sometimes portray the men in their books as sex-oholic morons. Before you ladies go off, let me say that I also understand why you are hesitant to read/listen to books that portray women as weaklings or air-heads. Well, Linda Howard provides the best to both worlds. She seems to always find a way to write books that appeal to both sexes. Dream Man has a great mixture... Its part police procedural (appreciated by the guys), part supernatural thriller (appreciated by the ladies), and part romantic sex-capade (adored by all).

My all time favorite Linda Howard book narrated by one of the best, what's not to like? Mr Gigante will never be known for his female voices but his male voices more than make up for that fact. I thought it was superbly done and can't wait for more old favorites to come to Audible.

This is the first time I have read this author and have fallen in love with the Stephanie Plum series. I downloaded all 13 books and listened to them all within a week. I couldn’t wait to hear what adventures (and mishaps!) that Stephanie, Joe, Ranger, Lula and the rest of the gang would get into. I’ve read some of the previous reviews. I agree with some and disagree with others. I disagree that it gets old and complacent that Stephanie finds herself in the same situations in every book. It appears to me that Stephanie’s character is just one of those people that trouble and mayhem seem to find. I do agree that narrator Lori Petty is the voice of Stephanie. Narrator Debi Mazar’s accent is a bit heavy for audio books and then after all this Lorilei King takes over as narrator for the rest of the series. While Ms. King’s character voices are awesome (she has such a range!) her Stephanie voice has no Jersey accent at all and sound just a little too “blue blood”. Otherwise Ms. King is a joy to listen to. You will fall in love with Ranger and Joe! Both are too hot to handle……no wonder Stephanie can’t choose between the two!
Don’t let the narrator changes deter you from listening to this funny charming, and at times mysterious series. You won’t be disappointed if you’re looking for something light hearted to listen to.

Stephanie Plum's got rent to pay, people shooting at her, and psychos wanting her dead every day of the week (much to the dismay of her mother, her family, the men in her life, the guy who slices meat at the deli...oh, the list goes on). An ordinary person would cave under the pressure. But hey, she's from Jersey.
Stephanie Plum may not be the best bounty hunter in beautiful downtown Trenton, but she's pretty darn good at turning bad situations her way...and she always gets her man. In To the Nines, her cousin Vinnie (who's also her boss) has posted bail on Samuel Singh, an illegal immigrant. When the elusive Mr. Singh goes missing, Stephanie is on the case. But what she uncovers is far more sinister than anyone imagines and leads to a group of killers who give new meaning to the word hunter.
In a race against time that takes her from the Jersey Turnpike to the Vegas Strip, Stephanie Plum is on the chase of her life. The unforgettable characters, nonstop action, high-stakes suspense, and sheer entertainment of To the Nines define Janet Evanovich as unique among today's writers.

This is my first experience with audio books and what a treat! Stephanie's adventures are as intriguing and funny to hear as they are to read. Add her colorful co-workers and a trip to Las Vegas, and be prepared to stay glued to your audio player. This time Stephanie is living with Joe, but still manages to get mixed up with criminals. Ranger is ever-present saving Stephanie from certain doom either in person or with one of his merry men. Lula is trying to become a supermodel-by-protein dieting, and attracts all kinds of animals - mostly the 4-legged kind. Connie gets involved in the chase this time by accompanying Lula and Stephanie to Las Vegas, catching the gambling bug with some interesting consequences. And there's a new addition to the family, but I won't spoil that surprise. In all "To the Nines" provides entertaining listening that goes as quickly as if you were reading the book.
