Tales of the Otherworld' is a collection of 8 short stories featuring some beloved characters, and a few secondary ones. Only 1 short story is original, and never before been available for download.
Let me first say I’m a huge fan of Kelly Armstrong, I’ve enjoyed every book from Women of The Otherworld series, and this wasn’t the exception, this was a superb compilation that enhances the knowledge of characters in the saga, it was such treat to get a glimpse at the first phase of their relationships.
Kelly Armstrong is an immensely talented writer, she doesn’t rely so much on overly describing every scene, she is a master at developing the characters in her books, she draws you right into the pages and before you know it you get sucked into the world and the wonderful characters she has created.
I loved the use of two different narrators, Mia Barron was excellent, I had a little of a hard time at the beginning with Eric Davies’s narration, but within 5 minutes of listening he’s voice became irrelevant and I just got lost in the story.
For the first time I really don’t know if I should or not recommend this book without reading Women Of the Otherworld first, Kelly Armstrong’s style of writing is first class, even though this book is only a compilation of short stories, she manages to developed the characters enough for you to care, and I guarantee you will want to listen to the rest of the books on this series if you haven’t done so, but if you already are familiar with this series, you will absolutely love this book.
Just Elena and Clay’s story was enough to make this book worth the price.

Rebirth (35.7 Minutes) - Read by Erik - Aaron POV on how he was turned into a vampire. We met Aaron at the end of Stolen. Bewitched (1.8 Hours) - Read by Mia - Eve's POV short on how she met Christoph and how she ends up pregnant with Savanah. I'm not a huge Eve fan so not sure I've listened to this yet. I need to give this a shot and then listen. Birthright (27.1 Minutes) - Read by Erik - Logan's POV - This is a short on how Logan first meets Clay and Jeremy and finds out he is a werewolf. Beginnings (5.1 Hours) - Read by Mia for Elena POV and Erik for Clay's POV - I love going back and listening to this short - one of my favorites for falling asleep to. This tells the story of how Clay and Elena meet, get together, and Elena gets bitten. To me, this short alone was worth getting the audiobook! It's also nice getting more of Logan and seeing how close he and Elena get. This story is told from alternating Clay / Elena POVs. Expectations - (27.4 minutes) - Lucas centric short with him tracking down a grimoire. Ghosts - (17.5 minutes) Wedding Bell Blues - (39 minutes) - Page & Lucas wedding. Case of El Chupacabra - (4.2 Hours)

I can't believe I put off buying this book.It was well worth the credit. I wasn't crazy about the male narrator but I loved the book anyway. I love Kelly Armstrong and all of her books that I have read so far. This whole series great.
