Here's a job to strain even Anita Blake's capabilities: raising an entire graveyard of 200-year-old corpses.
When Branson, Missouri, is hit with a death wave - four unsolved murders - it doesn't take an expert to realize that all is not well. But luckily for the locals, Anita Blake is an expert in the kinds of preternatural goings-on that have everyone spooked. And she's got an "in" with the creature that can make sense of the slayings - the sexy master vampire known as Jean-Claude.

I first read this series all away up to book 12,  this was before I discovered audiobooks, I loved the first 8 books, (I stop listen after that) Kimberly is fantastic, she does a terrific job with the narration, this is my favorite of the series, when Jean Claude was still a great Character. This series is the reason why I love urban fantasy.

With her New York Times best-selling Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter novels, Laurell K. Hamilton wraps listeners up in stories of suspense and sensuality. Cerulean Sins is no exception. Now, Anita learns what it's like to be at the new end of a centuries-old bloodline - and just how far she'll let herself get pushed around.

How the mighty have fallen! Once a sworn enemy of all vampires, Anita is now the human consort of both Jean-Claude, the Master Vampire, and Micah, the leopard shapeshifter. But her love life doesn't stop there. It can't. For Anita - not quite as human as she once was - is consumed by both the lusts of the vampire and the primal hungers of the wereleopards. Desires that must be sated - time and time again.

But it is Jean-Claude who needs her now. His oldest ancestor has sent one of her vicious and powerful underlings to St. Louis, putting Jean-Claude and his clan on the defensive. Unsure of where she stands with the interloper, Anita finds herself tested as never before - needing all the dark forces her passion can muster to save the ones she loves the most.

This was the last Anita Blake book I listened or I read, Anita was getting to up there for my taste, but if you like this  series you will love this audiobook, Cynthia Holloway does a great job with Anita, she has good voice fo her, and also does a good job with the other characters. There's a lot sex, and is just  a different story on audio. I did like Kimberly Alexis  a lot more, you might get disappointed if you get used to  the narrator on the earlier books.
