Guild Hunter, Book 3
By: Nalini Singh
Narrated by: Justine Eyre
Length: 10H and 21M
Vampire hunter Elena Deveraux and her lover, the lethally beautiful archangel Raphael, have returned home to New York only to face an uncompromising new evil. A vampire has attacked a girls' school---the assault one of sheer, vicious madness---and it is only the first act. Rampant bloodlust takes vampire after vampire, threatening to make the streets run with blood. Then Raphael himself begins to show signs of an uncontrolled rage, as inexplicable storms darken the city skyline and the earth itself shudders. The omens are suddenly terrifyingly clear. An ancient and malevolent immortal is rising. The violent winds whisper her name: Caliane. She has returned to reclaim her son, Raphael. Only one thing stands in her way: Elena, the consort who must be destroyed.
Let me start by saying, this is a great series, I read the first two books and I was thrilled when I saw them on audio. I read all the reviews and just about everyone gave it high marks... but, I had a very hard time getting used to the narrator's voice, I almost switched to the printed version a few times, I can tell you this "you do get used to her voice after a while and it's not as annoying as it was at first" . The book is very good, it kept me on the edge of my seat, specially at the end, I loved seeing more of the Seven, especially Aodhan and Illian.
I don't think you would enjoy this book as much without reading or listening to the first two books, I highly recommend all three books.
